Getting to Cologne and Bonn

Choosing the right destination depends on whether you stay in Cologne or Bonn, or if you plan to head directly to the venue on the wedding day. We and most international guests will be staying in Cologne before and after the wedding. You can reach your destination by train, plane, or taxi/car.

By train, you can head to:

Cologne Main Station (Köln Hbf)
Bonn Main Station (Bonn Hbf)
Bad Godesberg Station in Bonn (Bad Godesberg Bf) if you're heading directly to Stella Rheni or a hotel nearby the venue.

By plane, you can head to:

Cologne/Bonn Airport (CGN)
- Closest and most convenient airport. Primarily serving domestic and European flights.
- Travel times:
  - 15 minutes by train to Cologne Main Station (direct connection)
  - 50 minutes by train to Bonn Main Station (direct connection)
Düsseldorf Airport (DUS)
- Larger international airport.
- Travel times:
  - 40 minutes by train to Cologne Main Station (direct connection)
  - 70 minutes by train to Bonn Main Station via Cologne Main Station (direct connection). Note: Some train connections require you to transfer.
Frankfurt Airport (FRA)
- One of Europe's largest and most international airports. Though farther away, high-speed ICE trains make the journey efficient.
- Travel times:
  - 50 minutes by train to Cologne Main Station (direct connection)
  - 1 hour 30 minutes to Bonn Main Station (usually with one transfer)

Getting to the venue Stella Rheni

The venue Stella Rheni is in Bad Godesberg in southern Bonn. You can reach it by train or taxi/car from Cologne or Bonn. We strongly advise taking public transportation to allow for a relaxed celebration with some drinks without the hassle of picking up your car the next day.

If you are going there by car, the entry gate is opposite of the Bismarck Tower. Make sure to drive slowly when approaching the entry gate by car, as it can look somewhat hidden. There are plenty of parking spaces available at the venue.

The venue's address is: Stella Rheni, Elisabethstraße 16, 53177 Bonn.

From the train stations

Bad Godesberg Station (Bad Godesberg Bf) in Bonn is the closest station to the venue. From there, you can take a 5-minute taxi ride or a 25-minutes’ uphill walk to Stella Rheni. E-scooters can also be used to get to the venue, though Stella Rheni is right at the border of e-scooter no parking zones.
From Bonn Main Station, you can either take a 10-minutes train ride to Bad Godesberg Station and continue as described above, or you can take a 15-minute taxi ride to Stella Rheni.
From Cologne Main Station, you can either take a 30-minutes train ride to Bad Godesberg Station via Bonn Main Station and continue as described above, or you can take a 40-minutes taxi ride to Stella Rheni. Note: Some trains connections require you to transfer in Bonn Main Station.

From the airports

From Cologne/Bonn Airport, we recommend taking a 30-minutes taxi ride directly to the venue. Alternatively, you can take a 50-minutes train trip to Bonn Main Station and continue with public transportation as described above from Bonn Main Station.
From Düsseldorf Airport, we recommend taking a 70-minutes train trip directly to Bad Godesberg Station via the main stations of Cologne and Bonn and then continue as described above. Note: Some trains connections require you to transfer in Bonn Main Station. Taking a taxi to Stella Rheni from Düsseldorf Airport will take about 70 minutes as well.
From Frankfurt Airport, we recommend taking a high speed 50-minutes train trip to Cologne Main Station and continue as described above. Taking a taxi to Stella Rheni from Frankfurt Airport is not recommended, as it will take about 2 hours.

Staying in Cologne and Bonn

Most international guests will be staying in Cologne, but Bonn offers great hotels close to the venue Stella Rheni as well. Here are some recommendations:

Hotels in Cologne:

Hilton Cologne - A central, high-quality five-star hotel near Cologne Main Station. It offers a reliable, upscale experience.
Hyatt Regency - A luxurious five-star hotel with stunning views of Cologne Cathedral, located across the Rhine. Conveniently situated near highways leading to Bonn, making it a practical option.
Motel One Köln-Waidmarkt - A modern and stylish hotel in a central location.

Hotels in Bonn:

Insel Hotel Superior - A well-rated hotel near Bonn Bad Godesberg Station, just a 5-minute taxi ride from Stella Rheni.
Hotel zum Adler Superior - A highly regarded hotel also near Bonn Bad Godesberg Station, offering a comfortable stay. The hotel is just a 5-minute taxi ride from Stella Rheni as well.
Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Bonn City - A reliable, well-rated hotel in Bonn. Taxi ride to Stella Rheni: Approximately 20 minutes.

At the Venue:

There is a very limited number of rooms available at the venue Stella Rheni. They will be mainly reserved to our international guests traveling from far away but check with us for availability – you might get lucky and book a room there!
